Community Guidelines

We have created Community Guidelines so that you can properly use and help protect our amazing community. By using Otvut, you agree to these Guidelines and our Terms of Use. We are committed to these guidelines and we expect you to follow them as well. Exceeding these boundaries may result in content removal, account deactivation or other restrictions.

In some cases, if content is newsworthy and in the public interest, we allow content for public awareness that would otherwise go against our Community Guidelines. We consider the risk of harm and we look to international human rights standards to make these judgments.

Content Rules

Upload Only Your Own Photos & Videos

Remember to post authentic content, and don't post anything you copy or collect from the internet that you don't have the right to post. Doing so will not monetize your profile. For this please check the copyright and publish the content.

Appropriate Content for a Diverse Audience

We know there are times when people use AI or post nude photos of an artistic or creative nature, but for various reasons, we don't allow nudity on Otvut. This includes photos, videos and some digitally generated content showing close-ups of sexual intercourse, genitalia and complete nudity. It also contains some images of female breasts, and photos of paintings and sculptures cannot contain nudity.

However, breastfeeding, childbirth and the moments after birth, health-related situations (for example, post-mastectomy, breast cancer awareness or gender confirmation surgery) or acts of protest are permitted.

Foster Meaningful and Genuine Interactions

Don't artificially like, follow or share, post repetitive comments or try to contact people repeatedly for commercial purposes without their consent. Do not offer money or monetary gifts in exchange for likes, followers, comments or other engagement. Do not post fake or misleading content.

Follow the Law

• Real Identity Required You must use the name and date of birth corresponding to your National ID card or birth certificate on Otvut. We do not accept fake accounts. Do not impersonate others and do not create accounts intended to violate our guidelines or mislead others.
• Prohibited Content Otvut cannot post any posts that support terrorism, organized crime or hate groups. Providing sexual services between private individuals, buying or selling firearms, alcohol and tobacco products, and buying or selling non-prescription drugs are also prohibited. We also remove content that solicits, trades, sells, donates, supplies or provides non-medical drugs, as well as content that acknowledges personal use.
• Controlled Products Always remember to follow the law when offering to sell or buy other controlled products. Accounts that promote online gambling, online real money games or online lotteries must obtain permission from us before using any of our products.
• Zero Tolerance for Abuse We have zero tolerance for sharing sexual content involving minors or threatening others to post intimate images. We are taking strict action in this regard.

Respect Other Members

We want to build a safe, diverse community. We remove credible threats or hate speech, content that targets individuals to demean or humiliate them, personal information intended to blackmail or harass someone, and repetitive spam messages.

We generally allow strong conversations around people who are featured in the news or have a large public audience because of their profession or chosen activity.

Be Thoughtful When Posting Newsworthy Events

We know many people use Otvut to publish news. Accurate and proven news should be published. Videos and images published in the news should be suitable for everyone. Do not publish excessive cruelty and gruesome content.

Help Us Keep the Community Strong

• Report Violations Each of us is an important part of the Otvut community. If you see something that you think might violate our guidelines, please help us by reporting it. We will definitely look into this and work to remove the content as soon as possible.
• Unfollow or Block You may find content you don't like that doesn't violate the Community Guidelines. In that case, you can unfollow or block the person who posted it. If there's something you don't like in a comment on one of your posts, you can delete that comment.

• Check for duplicates Search our search engine for your topic and see if anyone else has uploaded similar content.
• Upload new and viral content.
• Verify your account Please verify your account with accurate information — this will help us ensure the security of your account.
• No illegal account creation Accounts cannot be created through illegal and inappropriate means.
• AI Monitoring We use AI technology to identify invalid referral accounts (So be careful).
