How to protect your skin from cracking in winter

If we don't take special care in winter, our skin becomes dry, cracked, itchy or feels flaky. So it is important to take a little extra care of the skin during this time. If we don't take care of it from the beginning of winter, the suffering increases. In the beginning, it is often not understood that the skin is drying out. Even if the skin is tight, if the skin cracks due to not taking action, it is difficult to normalize it. Below are some effective skin care tips, which will help you avoid winter cracks or dryness-Be careful about bathing.

Use lukewarm water, not hot water, for bathing or washing hands and face. Very hot water destroys the natural oils of the skin. Use lukewarm water while bathing and do not bathe for long. Avoid harsh or perfumed soaps during this time. Baby soap or moisturizing cleanser is good for children. Mix milk and honey and apply it on the skin and leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off.

Be careful when using moisturizer.

Use moisturizer before the onset of winter. Apply oil or lotion to wet skin after bathing to retain moisture. Glycerin, Vaseline, coconut oil or olive oil are very effective. Apply aloe vera gel to your face and hands and feet before going to bed at night. You can also use coconut oil. It is very beneficial in keeping the skin smooth.

Drink plenty of water.

Even though you may not feel thirsty in winter, it is important to drink water to keep your skin hydrated. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day. Do not rub hard with a towel, wipe gently. Do not use scrubs too much, once a week is enough.

Cover your body with clothes.

During this time, cover your face, hands, and feet when you go out. Wear thin cotton clothes instead of wearing woolen clothes directly on your body. Use lip balm regularly (Vaseline/butter/glycerin) on your lips. Apply coconut oil or Vaseline to cracked heels and sleep wearing socks.
