5 ways to keep biscuits crunchy
In this humid monsoon weather, we have to face many kinds of inconveniences. One of them is the swelling of biscuits kept in a jar. The real fun of biscuits is their crunchy taste. Know some tips to keep biscuits crunchy.
- Wipe the jar thoroughly with tissue paper before pouring the biscuits. This will remove the moisture and reduce the risk of the biscuits becoming soft.
- After baking the biscuits, wait until they come to room temperature. Then wrap each biscuit in baking paper and aluminum foil. Store the biscuits and foil in a sealed jar.
- Before placing the biscuits in the jar, spread a dry tissue on the bottom. After placing the biscuits, before putting the lid on, spread another piece of tissue on the top. Close the lid of the jar tightly. The tissue will absorb the moisture in the air.
- If the biscuits get soggy, place some dry bread in the jar. The bread will absorb all the moisture. This will make the biscuits crumbly again. Also, if you leave some bread crumbs in, the biscuits will not get soft as easily.
- You can store biscuits in the refrigerator. Place one or two biscuits in a small ziplock bag and seal the bag. Make sure there is no air inside. Now place the ziplock bags in a sealed jar or bowl and store in the refrigerator. The taste of the biscuits will remain intact.
