Important tips for preserving lemons

From making lemonade, enhancing the flavor of salads or other dishes, to starting a detox drink at the beginning of the day, lemon is essential. Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, lemon helps increase metabolism and strengthens the immune system. Therefore, beneficial lemons are always in our homes. However, lemons can easily spoil if not stored at the right temperature. Since they are acidic in nature, it is even more important to store them at the right temperature. Know the necessary tips.
- Use an airtight container to store lemons. First, wash and dry the container thoroughly. Then, place the lemons in a ziplock bag, place the container in the refrigerator, and store in the refrigerator.
- If you want to store lemons for a long time, wrap them in aluminum foil.
- Fill a jar with water and put the lemons in it. Keep the jar with the water in the refrigerator. The lemons will stay fresh for a long time.
- If you want to keep lemons for a long time, do not store them with other fruits or vegetables. Store lemons separately.
- If you want to save the other half after using half of the lemon, cover it with plastic wrap.
- Fresh lemon juice can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days. However, if you want to store it for a longer period of time, pour the juice into ice cube trays and freeze it. Once frozen, remove it from the tray and store it in a sealed container in the deep freezer.
