Stomach ache before doing something important? Know the causes and remedies

Have you ever felt nauseous before an exam? Or felt nauseous before a presentation or interview? Feeling nauseous before an important task is nothing new. But what does the pressure on the brain have to do with feeling nauseous?

Excessive stress on the brain is considered a byproduct of a busy life. When work, studies, personal matters create one after another stress on the body, then unknowingly that stress falls on the mind. This mental stress not only hits the brain, it also affects the stomach. Even any problem in the stomach affects the brain.

As the saying goes, a peaceful stomach is all peace. The stomach and mind complement each other. If the stomach is restless, then its effects are bound to affect the mind. Think about it, if the body is suffering from stomach pain, will the mind be fine? And what if the opposite happens? If the mind is restless, it can affect the stomach. The stomach's own nervous system is working behind the whole incident. The nervous system in the stomach has a direct connection with the brain.

When the pressure on the brain increases, the body goes into 'fight or flight' mode. Then, calming the mind becomes more important than digesting food. As a result, most of the necessary enzymes and beneficial bacteria in the stomach are not produced properly. As a result, if the mind is restless, it can affect the stomach.

There is also the opposite. Serotonin is called the happy hormone of the brain. 90 percent of the body's serotonin is synthesized in the stomach. When the stomach is unstable, it produces much less serotonin than needed. As a result, mental stress also increases.

Has it ever happened that there was no irregularity in eating, there was no pressure on the stomach. Yet the stomach is restless. It is not healing in any way? This pressure in the stomach can be caused by mental stress. That is why it is necessary to keep both the stomach and the head calm at the same time. Only then can they work as complements to each other. But how?

To calm the stomach

1. Eat more foods that are high in fiber, such as fruits and vegetables.

2. Avoid ultra-processed foods, such as fast food and cold drinks, as much as possible.

3. Drink enough water.

To stay away from stress

1. There is no substitute for adequate sleep to manage stress. Sleeping at least 8 hours a night will keep the brain stress-free.

2. To prevent physical stress from affecting your mind, exercise at least for a while every day. If your body is regularly active, your stomach will also remain calm.

3. You can take help of meditation to keep your stomach and mind calm. This reduces inflammation.
